Product Overview

Motivating Students to Be Great

CritterCoin is a gamified classroom management tool. Teachers have the ability to:

  • Award students with digital coins for behavior and academics.

  • Sort students into houses (similar to Harry Potter).

  • Manage purchases from their digital reward store.

My Role

Creating Clarity for Teachers

For over a year, I tackled onboarding and user adoption for this fast-growing startup. On our humble team of 3, I worked closely with stakeholders and developers—implementing new strategies to inform users about CritterCoin’s features, streamline onboarding processes, and increase overall product engagement.

With content driving user retention, I began creating additional YouTube videos to highlight more useful features of our product. While producing and editing directly on YouTube wasn't the most visually and audibily polished, it provided a valuable opportunity to refine our digital strategy.

  • 80+ targeted videos addressing teacher pain points related to onboarding and product features.

  • Acquired 300,000 new users to the platform in 1 year.

  • Closed sales in premium modules from 8 to 29 schools.
